Important Information about this class below

What is your cancellation Policy?

Life happens, we get it. If you're unable to attend this workshop for any reason we'll reschedule your workshop to a different date. Covid has taught us to be flexible, and we want to give you the confidence to book a class with us knowing we've got your back. If you believe you wont be able to attend, please advise us as early as possibly so we may try and fill your place in the class.

What skill level is this workshop suited to?

Whether you're a total novice, weekend woodworker or professional maker, this workshop has something for everyone. We'd recommend attending if you have tools that aren't sharp and you don't know how to sharpen them, or if you're having difficulty with your sharpening process and just need help.

Tools come sharp when I buy them, don't they?

In our experience, very rarely do manufacturers supply their chisels or plane blades honed ready for use. While they may have an established bevel, most are not sharpened anywhere near ready for use.

If you've just invested in a new tool, why not invest in knowing how to maintain it!

What Age do I need to be to attend this workshop?

In certain circumstances and classes we are able to lower the minimum age depending on the inherent dangers of that class. Generally, unless it is listed as a kids workshop, the minimum attendance age is 18.

Please contact us prior to booking if you're looking for workshops for younger woodworkers.

Why attend a class when I have access to youtube for free?

This isn't a question that comes up heaps but it's a good one to address.

For starters, there's content and there's quality content. By quality we mean accuracy of information and the way it's presented.

Primarily, In-person workshops provide the opportunity for you to be coached on your technique as you learn which is the best way to do it.
